“Let’s talk about all the money that Drake lost tonight,” Covington told the assembled press. “He needs to go back to, you know, selling those shitty albums to get back the money. He should have went to America’s Pick of the Week by mybookie[.ag]. I tried to give the people the pick of the week. I’m America’s champ, and I was America’s pick of the week. Drake, you suck at sports betting. Go back to your shitty little albums and rapping.”
Drake would have won $1million had his bet been successful, but despite suffering an early scare in a fast-paced opener, Oliveira rallied to secure a rear-naked choke on his rival who quickly tapped out to put an end to his latest title challenge.
This is not the first time the Grammy multi-award winning artist has come unstuck after placing a bet on a UFC main event, after he lost $250,00 when he placed his hopes Jorge Masvidal defeating Colby Covington earlier this year. Masvidal was ultimately condemned to defeat, which sees Drake’s losses come to a staggering $677,000 from his past two wagers.
